Couple Robbed Christmas Morning At Deerfield Inn
GREENBRIER TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – Due to fast motion by the Greenbrier Police Detectives and the Springfield Police Division, a pair is behind bars following what police say was an armed theft on the Deerfield Inn early Christmas Morning.
The Deerfield Inn is situated on Hwy 41 between Greenbrier and Ridgetop. MAP Police responded to the resort round 6 am Christmas Morning. A pair who have been friends of the Deerfield Inn had stepped exterior for a smoke after they have been allegedly approached by a person with a semi-automatic handgun. The person, police say, pressured the couple again into their room.
In accordance with Lt. Buster Locklayer with the Greenbrier Police Division, as soon as inside, the suspect, who was an acquaintance of the couple, pressured them into the lavatory. Lt. Locklayer says the suspect then took the person’s pockets and fled the scene in a ready automobile with a driver exterior. With the help of the Springfield Police Division, each the motive force and gunman have been in custody inside only a few hours of the incident. Each suspects have been transported to the Robertson County Detention Facility in Springfield.
The alleged gunman, now recognized as 30-year-old Jeremy Wade Evitts, is going through expenses of Aggravated Theft, Legal Impersonation, two counts of Aggravated Assault, and Illegal Place of a Weapon. Evitts bond has been set at $132,750.The alleged driver, now recognized as 27-year-old Desiree Michelle Woodall, is going through Legal Conspiracy (Felony.) Her bond has been set at $10,000.
Evitts and Woodall are nonetheless behind bars. Each have courtroom dates in January and February. The couple on the resort weren’t injured. In accordance with Greenbrier Police, throughout an interview with investigators, Woodall implicated herself within the crime.
