Cross Plains Vice Mayor Jim Forrester Dies, He was 79
CROSS PLAINS TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – Metropolis Commissioner and Vice Mayor Jim Forrester has died, in response to officers in Cross Plains. Forrester’s passing follows a protracted battle with most cancers, he was 79.

James Edward Forrester Sr, handed away on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at his residence.
Born March 28, 1941 in McEwen, Tennessee, Forrester labored as a truck driver for 50 years and retired from Roadway Specific. He had been a member of the Native #480 Teamsters Union for 55 years. Mr. Forrester had served as metropolis councilman for White Home, been an Alderman for 9 years and served as Vice Mayor of Cross Plains. He spent a few years in service to his group, having been concerned in teaching little league baseball, being a member of the American Legion Put up #206, White Home Lion’s Membership, White Home Masonic Lodge #700, Orlinda Masonic Lodge #282, a shriner, treasurer of the Music Metropolis hayride, a church motorbike membership, assistant boy scout chief and a member of the mule and wagon membership. He additionally served his nation within the U.S. Military and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Forrester has 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren.
Providers for Forrester have been scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2021, at 1 pm within the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Residence in White Home with Tom Day officiating. Interment will observe in White Home Memorial Gardens with Lyndon Grissom, Randy Baker, Danny Morris, Jerry Whitman, Robert Gateley and Noah Morris serving as pallbearers and with army honors. Visitation is deliberate for Thursday, January 7, 2021, 4-8 PM, and Friday, January 8, 2021, 11 am till the time of the service on the funeral residence.
