SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – A lethal Hwy 49 crash over the weekend has claimed the lifetime of a Springfield man.
In line with native officers, the crash occurred on Hwy 49 at Fisher Rd round 1:30 AM Saturday. LOCATION OF CRASH
In line with the Tennessee Freeway Patrol, the driving force, Benjamin Henry Lewis, 39, of Springfield, driving a 2018 GMC Sierra, died within the crash. Officers report that Lewis was an unrestrained driver.
In line with the THP’a preliminary description of the crash, Lewis was touring West on Freeway 49 when he failed to barter a righthand curve and ran off the roadway. The automobile then entered an embankment ditch and struck a number of timber. Lewis was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Hwy 49 was closed for about three hours whereas the Tennessee Freeway Patrol investigated the crash and the scene was cleared by First responders.
The Tennessee Freeway Patrol, Robertson County EMS, the Robertson County Emergency Administration Company, and the Orlinda Fireplace Division all responded to the scene.
