Driver Killed In Coopertown Crash Early Sunday

COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – An early morning Hwy 49 crash in Coopertown Sunday has taken one life.

The crash occurred on Hwy 49 between Coopertown Elementary and Coopertown Center Faculty round 12:53 am. (location of crash) Based on radio visitors, a caller (touring in the wrong way) suggested that they noticed the automobile depart the roadway.

After leaving the roadway, the automobile, a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee, impacted a tree head-on killing the motive force. It was raining on the time of the crash and the roads had been slick which can have been a contributing issue within the crash. Based on Assistant Chief Russell Gupton with Robertson County EMS, the driver, now recognized by the THP as, Kenna B Robards, 28, of Clarksville TN, was pronounced deceased on the scene.

Based on the Tennessee Freeway Patrol, preliminarily, Robards was touring East on Hwy 49 W when her automobile ran off the proper aspect of the roadway and into the grass the place the automobile struck a tree. Why Robards misplaced management and left the roadway will not be identified at the moment.

Based on the THP, Robards was not carrying security restraints. The accident investigator, Trooper Joseph Olivas, concluded that if Robards had worn her security belt it possible would have saved her life.

A Celebration of Life can be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 at First Baptist Church Clarksville-Grace Chapel with Rev. Pat Van Dyke officiating. Burial will comply with at Springield Memorial Gardens.
