He’s preceded in demise by his mother and father; his spouse of 59 years, Wynona Steele Ragland; brothers, Willie Herbert “Invoice” Ragland and Robert Hendley Ragland; sisters, Minnie Lucille Tomlinson, Barbra Jean Sullivan Dugas, Mary Jane Skimmiehorn and Margaret Ann Carter. He’s survived by his son, Kevin Steele (Lisa Jeannette) Ragland, White Home, TN; grandson, Zachary Steele Ragland (Rachael Reed), Houston, TX; sisters, Betty Katherine Stafford, Hohenwald, TN and Florence Marie Philpot, Portland, TN.
Funeral service was performed Friday, April 2, 2021 within the chapel of Austin & Bell Funeral Dwelling in White Home with Rev. Samuel Brown officiating. Interment adopted in Hillcrest Cemetery with household and associates serving as pallbearers. Visitation was held Thursday, April 1, 2021 4-8pm and Friday, April 2, 2021 9-11am on the funeral residence.
