Mrs. Bedwell was born September 21, 1925 in Robertson County to the late James Richard and Bessie Marshall Hyde. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was retired from South Central Bell. She was a previous president of Jesse Holman Jones Auxiliary, was a member of the Enterprise and Skilled Girls’s Membership, and was a previous president of South Central Bell Phone Pioneers of America. After her retirement in 1978 she was a volunteer for the Senior Residents Middle and C.O.P.E. and the Huge Brothers of Nashville.

Along with her mother and father, she was preceded in loss of life b y her husband, Buford “Buck” Bedwell, and her sister, Margaret Hyde Witty.
