Mrs. Bedwell was born September 21, 1925 in Robertson County to the late James Richard and Bessie Marshall Hyde. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ and was retired from South Central Bell. She was a previous president of Jesse Holman Jones Auxiliary, was a member of the Enterprise and Skilled Girls’s Membership, and was a previous president of South Central Bell Phone Pioneers of America. After her retirement in 1978 she was a volunteer for the Senior Residents Middle and C.O.P.E. and the Huge Brothers of Nashville.
Along with her mother and father, she was preceded in loss of life b y her husband, Buford “Buck” Bedwell, and her sister, Margaret Hyde Witty.
She is survived by her sons, Don Owen Bedwell, Sr. of La Vergne, Joe Freeman Bedwell of Columbia, and James Jeffrey Bedwell of White Home; grandchildren, Don Bedwell, Jr., Corey Bedwell, and 6 different grandchildren; and a number of other nice grandchildren.
