William Kenneth Slate, 94, of Springfield, handed away on Saturday July 17, 2021, at his residence. Graveside companies shall be performed Thursday July twenty second at 11:00 a.m. within the Spring Hill Cemetery on Gallatin Rd. in Nashville with Brother Marvin Crouch and Brother Johnny Path officiating. Pallbearers shall be Toby Slate, Dakota Slate, Ty Slate, Tuff Slate, Cody Smith, Andrew Smith, Phillip Jason McDougal, and John McDougal, Jr. There shall be no public visitation previous to the graveside service on Thursday.

Mr. Slate was born August 5, 1926, in Purple Boiling Springs to the late Dudley Cordell and Myrtle Newberry Slate. He was a WWII veteran, having served within the U.S. Military. Mr. Slate was a retired plumber and was a longtime member of Hillcrest Church of Christ. He beloved something that allowed him to be outdoor, particularly tenting, fishing, and boating, and he was all the time discovering one thing that wanted repairing or sprucing up a contact. Obituary for Mom Annie E. Smith

Mom Annie Smith was born on August 6, 1942, to the union of the late John Anderson Alfred Dowlen and the late Lorene Burton Dowlen. She is preceded in demise by her brothers: William (W.C.), John Robert, Larry Donnell, and Joe Edward Dowlen; nephews: Robert A. Dowlen, Tony A. Dowlen, Sr., Quinton Walker and niece: Anna Dowlen.
