Larry Eugene Stroup, 73, of Greenbrier, handed away on Saturday July 3, 2021, at Skyline Medical Middle. Mr. Stroup was born November 1, 1947, in Paola, Kansas to the late Clare Francis and Marjorie Louise Griffith Stroup. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Stroup was a retired accountant with Harris County in Houston, Texas and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier. He was a member of the VFW Put up 2120 and the American Legion Put up 45, the place he was a Previous Commander, in Greenbrier. He was a former Alderman with the Metropolis of Greenbrier. Mr. Gainous was a founding member of Ridgetop First Baptist Church, the place he sung within the choir, taught Sunday Faculty, and served as a deacon.
