Mr. Stroup was born November 1, 1947, in Paola, Kansas to the late Clare Francis and Marjorie Louise Griffith Stroup. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Stroup was a retired accountant with Harris County in Houston, Texas and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Greenbrier. He was a member of the VFW Put up 2120 and the American Legion Put up 45, the place he was a Previous Commander, in Greenbrier. He was a former Alderman with the Metropolis of Greenbrier.
