Obituary for Billy Cothran
Billy Glenn Cothran, age 84, of Cedar Hill, Tennessee, died June 3, 2020 at his house.
There was a personal household visitation at Austin & Bell Funeral Dwelling in Nice View. A personal graveside service adopted at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Bro. Joey Myers and Bro. Cecil Boswell officiating. Curtis Cothran, Brian Cothran, Stephen Cothran, Blake Atkinson, Spencer Cothran, and Carl Cothern served as pallbearers.
Mr. Cothran was born on April 24, 1936, in Ashland Metropolis, Tennessee to the late Edward and Goldie Perry Cothran. He was retired as a truck driver for over 30 years and cherished to farm. He cherished to develop candy potatoes and was recognized to some because the “watermelon man”. After retiring, one in all his hobbies was making musical devices. He was a member of Friendship Free Will Baptist Church and at present attending Liberty Baptist Church.
Along with his mother and father, he’s preceded in dying by his sisters, Dianne Noffsinger and Barbara Jayne Binkley.
He’s survived by his spouse, Patricia Cothran; sons, Curtis (Becky) Cothran, Brian (Tracy) Cothran, Stephen Cothran; daughter, Denise Cothran (good friend, Ken Reigard); brothers, Carl (Bonnie) Cothern, Charlie (Paulette) Cothern; grandchildren, Blake (Emma) Atkinson, Spencer Cothran, Macie Cothran; and great-grandson, Maverick Atkinson.
