She was born on March 19, 1923 in Robertson County, Tennessee to the late James Levi and Susan Inez Hunter Hunt. She labored for the Robertson County Board of Schooling as a cafeteria employee and was a member of the New Chapel United Methodist Church. Mrs. Garrett is preceded in loss of life by her dad and mom Frazier Harris Albert, Sr. and Bertie Izora (Swaw) Albert, Sister Rebecca Theckston, and Brother George Albert.

Mrs. Garrett was born on Might 16, 1930, within the White Hill group of White Home. Rising up in Tyree Hole, she attended New Hope, Crafton, and White Home faculties. On February 28, 1948, she married Paul Garrett. Throughout their seventy-two years of marriage, they raised two sons and two grandsons.
