She labored in Ladies’s Companies on the hospital offering loving care to numerous moms and newborns. Mrs. Hunter was a wonderful cook dinner and seamstress who loved bowling, being an energetic member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church and Cedar Hill FCE Membership. She most loved all gatherings and holidays with household.
Along with her dad and mom Mrs. Hunter is preceded in demise by her step-mother, Lou Ethel Oakes, her son-in-law, Jerry McClain, her sisters, Jane Orrender and Jean Barrett, her brother Arvin “Juney” Oakes, Jr. and her candy buddy, Brenda Cotter.
Mrs. Hunter is survived by her husband of 64 years, Edward Carmack “Macky” Hunter, Jr. and her kids, Janet McClain of Springfield, Pleasure (Fred) Ramsey of Harriman, Mack (Sheila) Hunter of Clarksville, Mike (Tara) Hunter of Joelton and Beth Duncan of Ashland Metropolis. She was “Granny Jo” to her grandchildren, Kerry (Kenton) Deitch, Haley (David) Ball, Kevin (Alicia) Ramsey, Hunter Duncan, Shelby Hunter and Joshua Hunter and her great-grandchildren, Kiersten, Kenley and Samuel Deitch and Benjamin Ball.
