William Fizer Armstrong, age 97, of Springfield, handed away Thursday, September 24, 2020 at Skyline Medical Middle in Nashville.

Mr. Armstrong was born December 21, 1922 in Springfield to the late Joseph Martin and Lovie Mae Savage Armstrong. He was a farmer, a veteran of the U.S. Military, and member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church. He liked his household, farming, tenting and being outside.

Along with his mother and father Mr. Armstrong is preceded in loss of life by his spouse, Mildred Clark Armstrong, his sister, Sarah Woods, and his brother, James Savage Armstrong. Mr. Armstrong is survived by his floral squaredaughters and their husbands, Theresa and Larry Adams of Springfield and Donna and Joe MacLeod of Cedar Hill; grandchildren, Amy and husband Darrell Boyles, Logan Adams, Taylor MacLeod and Peyton MacLeod; and great-grandchildren, Sidder Boyles and Tuff Boyles, and Levi Adams.
