Steven Michael Knight Sr., age 70, of Springfield, handed away Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at his house.

She dearly liked her household and church, Flewellyn Baptist Church, the place she was a member.
Along with her dad and mom, she is preceded in dying by her husband, John Robert Guthrie; son, Rickey Eugene Guthrie; great-granddaughter, Mallory Paige Guthrie; brothers, Wesley Smith and Herbert Smith; and sister, Clara Gibson.
Survivors embody her daughter, Gail (Ronnie) McCrary; grandchildren, Stacey Inexperienced (Lawson), Nicholas Adam McCrary, and Dustin Guthrie (Tosha); great-grandchildren, Shelbi Mitchell (Seth), Jayden Lynch, Spencer Inexperienced, Sienna McCrary, Bryce Inexperienced, and Hunter Guthrie; great-great-grandchildren, Brynleigh Mitchell and Annalise Mitchell; and daughter-in-law, Nadine Guthrie.

Don Keith Head, Sr., age 92, of the Coopertown Group, handed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at NHC Healthcare.
Funeral providers have been held Friday, December 30, 2022 at 1pm within the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Dwelling in Springfield with Brother Kenneth Wayne Head and Brother Adam Callis officiating. Burial adopted within the Springfield Memorial Gardens with Brandon Head, Eric Head, Austin Head, Keith Head, Justin Head, and Jeffrey Head serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers have been Charles Browning, Sonny McMahan, Gordon Rhodes and Tony Jones. No visitation was held previous to the funeral service.
Mr. Head was born July 12, 1930 in Coopertown, TN to the late Clarence and Hazel Wilson Head. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ at Coopertown, was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Power serving in Korea, and retired after a few years with Yellow Freight as an over the highway driver.
Along with his dad and mom Mr. Head is preceded in dying by his son, Don Keith Head, Jr. and his brothers Dorris Head and Jerry Mac Head.
Mr. Head is survived by his spouse of 67 years, Catherine Cohea Head; sons, Tim Head and Randy Head; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth Wayne and Linda Head; granddaughter, Lindsey (Justin) Head; grandsons, Brandon (Kayla) Head, Keith (Giselle) Head, Eric Head, and Austin Head; and 4 great-granddaughters, Miley Head, Bailey Head, Kennedy Head, and Sawyer Head; and three great-grandsons, Xander Head, Jax head and Jase Head. Mr. Head can also be survived by a particular niece, Jerri Ann Head.
