Obituary for Dr. Richard Joseph “Joe” Bridwell
Dr. Richard Joseph “Joe” Bridwell went house to Jesus on August 16, 2022 at age 84, in Springfield, Tennessee.
Joe was born on January 26, 1938 to Frank and Anno Bridwell in Alice, Texas. After graduating from Abilene Excessive College in 1956, he went on to earn 4 levels. He obtained two bachelor’s levels in arithmetic and geology in 1962 from the College of Texas, Austin. He was then commissioned as a Naval Officer and served our nation within the Naval Information Processing Heart in Washington DC for 3 years. He continued his geological research and obtained his Grasp’s diploma from Colorado College of Mines in 1968. He went on to obtain his doctorate from the College of Utah in geology. He lived in New Mexico till shifting to Tennessee to be cared for by his daughter.

He spent a few years and traveled extensively to find out about and doc the Bridwell and Brown household histories and wrote a e book on these histories. Dr. Bridwell was predeceased by his brother, Robert Bridwell, and each his mother and father. Dr. Bridwell is survived by his kids and their spouses: Donna Christine Powley (Greg), Dirk Nikolaus Bridwell (Louise Hollesen), Erin Thais Van Meter (Thomas) and three grandchildren Kylie and Madison Van Meter and August Bridwell.
Dr. Bridwell’s celebration of life was held in Greenbrier, TN on the Van Meter house on October 15, 2022.
