Mr. Head was born August 8, 1947 in Springfield to the late Ralph and Francis Clinard Head. He was a veteran of the U.S. Military serving in Korea, was a tobacco farmer, member of Grace Baptist Church, and retired from the Springfield Water Wastewater Division.
Mr. Head is survived by his spouse of virtually 50 years, Sara Minnis Head; sons and daughters-in-law, Rusty and Kathy Holt of Adams and Timothy and Emily Head of Springfield; daughter, Cynthia “Princess” Estep of Dover; brothers and sisters-in-law, Fred and Sandy Head of Greenbrier, Jerry and Donna Head of Springfield and Ernie and Faye Head of Cedar Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Josie and Will Hicks of Springfield; grandchildren, Joshua Holt, Jesse Holt, Jacob Holt, Blane Minnis, Steven Head, and Jordan Head; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Holt and Harper Holt.
