Milling and Paving in Downtown Springfield to Start Thursday

SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – In line with Springfield officers, Contractors working for the Metropolis of Springfield will start milling downtown beginning Thursday, October 21, 2021. After milling is full, crews will regulate manholes, pave streets, and finalize the mission with striping. Work is scheduled to be accomplished on November 1, 2021, climate allowing.

Pavement on the next streets are scheduled to be milled on October 21 and 22:

S. Most important Road from Central Avenue to eighth Avenue.
Locust Road to seventh Avenue.

Pavement on the next streets are scheduled to be milled on October 25 and proceed for about one week:

W. seventh Avenue
N. Most important Road
S. Locust Road
W. sixth Avenue
W. Courtroom Sq.

Residents can count on short-term intermittent lane closures. Nevertheless, at the least one lane will stay open always.

Drivers are suggested that there shall be no parking on North Most important Road on October 21 and 22 and across the sq. on October 24. Drivers are inspired to make the most of the free public parking heaps positioned downtown.
