About Sherri Ferguson – President & CEO of the Portland Chamber of Commerce
The Govt Director of the Portland Chamber of Commerce is the Chief Govt Officer of the group and is accountable to the Board of Administrators for the total vary of actions: coordination of the Program of Work, organizational construction and procedures, motivation of volunteers, revenue and expenditures, upkeep of membership, employment and supervision of employees, interpretation of coverage, upkeep of quarters and planning.
Sherri Ferguson grew to become President & CEO of the Portland Chamber of Commerce on Monday, March 14, 2011. She changed former director Amy Wald. Ferguson labored for a few years for Shannon Insurance coverage as an insurance coverage agent.
“My objectives are to extend the partnership with town and surrounding chambers to work collectively to create an ‘I will help you and you’ll assist me’ sort of philosophy,” stated Ferguson in an interview with the Portland Chief newspaper. “I’d prefer to have higher networking among the many chamber members and I would like them to be enthusiastic about networking. I really feel that is what I’ve already heard.”
Ferguson is the daughter of dairy farmers who grew up in close by Orlinda. She is married to David Ferguson and so they have three kids and two grandchildren.
