Robertson Colleges Bus Driver Dies Of COVID-19 Problems

ROBERTSON COUNTY TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) Smokey Barn Information has confirmed with Robertson County Colleges that the district has misplaced one bus driver to COVID 19 problems.

“The district simply realized at present of the passing of a long-time bus driver JT Rigsby and we’re really devastated at his loss. Our condolences and prayers exit to the household as they negotiate the approaching days.”

With the passing of JT someday this morning, Smokey Barn Information is already receiving messages about his legacy. He was revered by his friends and cherished by the group.

We’re informed that JT was an older gentleman and an amazing driver for the county.

Obituary for John Thomas Rigsby

“JT”-Age 81 of White Home handed away Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Northcrest Medical Middle. He was born July 17, 1940 in Nashville, TN to Thomas Jefferson & Helen Christine Holzapfel Rigsby. He was employed as a Robertson County Faculty bus driver. (Information Report)

He continued to drive a faculty bus and had mentioned to his household “I is perhaps the one smile a few of these kids ever see”. He really cherished the kids and so they cherished him. He loved vegetable gardening and gathering along with his household, particularly the grandchildren. He was a member of Sumner County Higher Cumberland Presbyterian Church and he cherished the Lord with all his coronary heart. He’s preceded in demise by his dad and mom; brother, Aubrey Rigsby; brother-in-law, Mel Hartley.

He’s survived by his loving spouse of 60 years, Joan Rigsby, White Home, TN; daughters, Karen (Robert) Salter, Chattanooga, TN, Rebecca (David) Sower, Decatur, AL and Carol (Paul) Branlund, White Home, TN; brothers, Wesley (Cheryl) Rigsby, Nice Shade, TN and Carl (JoAnn) Rigsby, Watertown, TN; sisters, Joyce Hartley, White Home, TN and Carolyn (Warren) MacWilliams, White Home, TN; 8 grandchildren, Michele, Rachel, Madeline, Erin, Luke, Grace, Lila and Ben; 9 great-grandchildren, Silas, Reuben, Freya, Eleanor, Ames, Virgil, Ruby, Indiana and Pierre.

Interment will comply with in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison with household serving as pallbearers.
