Springfield Man Dies Following Lethal Joelton Crash Friday

SPRINGFIELD/JOELTON TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – This can be a follow-up on a severe crash Smokey Barn Information reported close to Joelton on Friday. The gentleman that originally survived the crash has now succumbed to his accidents, based on Metro Nashville Police.

The crash occurred on Whites Creek Pike at Devils Elbow just under Joelton. LOCATION OF CRASH The crash occurred round 11 AM Friday morning. Metro Nashville Police are investigating.

In keeping with Metro Police Public Info Officer Don Aaron, Joe Thomas Goodfred Jr., 55, of Springfield misplaced management of his 2002 Ford Ranger pickup truck within the 7000 block of Whites Creek Pike and struck a rock wall. He was critically injured and transported to Skyline Medical Middle.  On Monday Aaron confirmed that Mr. Goodfred finally died from his accidents. Smokey Barn Information has discovered that Mr. Goodfred died on Sunday round midday. The reason for the crash has not been launched.

Whites Creek Pike within the space of the crash was closed for a number of hours whereas the Metro Nashville Police investigated the crash.

A message from Joe’s sister, Kathy Goodfred “His household wish to thank everybody that stayed on the scene with my brother till EMS arrived. He had a coronary heart of gold and was well-known in Springfield TN. Thanks all a lot.”

Joe Thomas Goodfred Jr “JoJo” was born September 23, 1967, in Nashville. He was the proprietor and operator of Joe’s Garden Service and was a member of Friendship Baptist in Millersville. JoJo loved fishing, gathering miniature racecars, and watching NASCAR, wrestling, and soccer, particularly the Tennessee Titans.

Funeral companies can be performed Saturday, January twenty eighth at 11:00 a.m. within the Oakhurst Chapel of the Robertson County Funeral Dwelling. Interment will observe within the Elmwood Cemetery. The household will obtain associates on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., on Friday from 4:00 p.m. till 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. till service time on the funeral residence.
