Two Particular Veterans Honored By Coopertown Males’s Membership
COOPERTOWN TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – The Coopertown Males’s Membership, took a brief break throughout their annual Turkey Shoot fundraiser to honor American Veterans.
Two veterans had been singled out for particular honors. 87-year-old Military veteran Tom Gammons, that served within the 510 Tank Battalion and 87-year-old Don Hix, Navy veteran that served on the Destroyer USS Southerland DDR743.
The 2 honorees had been offered a Tennessee State Flag that flew over our state capitol of their honor and adjoining certificates signal by Governor Invoice Lee.
The City of Coopertown honored them as nicely by declaring 11/11/19 as Tom Gammons and Don Hix day presenting the 2 with a plaque. Don Hix has been a member of the Coopertown Males’s Membership since 1978. Tom Gammons has been a member of the Coopertown Males’s Membership since 1994.
