SPRINGFIELD TENNESSEE: (Smokey Barn Information) – Well-known Robertson County businessman, entrepreneur, and engineer Johnny “Shorty” Maynard has died, he was 70.
Shorty misplaced his battle with most cancers simply earlier than midnight Tuesday. Shorty was well-known within the Robertson County space for his engineering prowess and enterprise acumen.

Johnny Thomas “Shorty” Maynard, age 70, of Springfield, handed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at his house.
Funeral providers will likely be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 11 am within the chapel of the Austin & Bell Funeral Residence in Springfield with Brother Judson Phenicie and Brother David Davis officiating. Burial will observe within the Hopewell Cemetery with C.J. Estrada, Marco Estrada, Michael Maynard, Jr., Jamie Maynard, Don Toothman, and Jerrell Rawls serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will likely be held on the funeral house on Friday, June 19, 2020, from 4-8 pm and once more on Saturday from 10 am till the hour of service at 11 am.
Mr. Maynard was born August 6, 1949, in Portland to the late Luther C. and Clara Wix Maynard. He owned and operated Springfield Recycling Firm and was a member of the Springfield First Free Will Baptist Church. He beloved large equipment, accumulating vintage instruments, music and touring.
Along with his mother and father, Mr. Maynard is preceded in demise by his sister, Clara Dale Maynard, brother, Charles Maynard, and grandchild, Thomas Eric Maynard, and great-grandchild Leonidas Estrada. Mr. Maynard is survived by his spouse, Mary Anne Scott; kids, Jonathan (Tammy) Maynard, Michael Maynard, Sherry (Carlos) Estrada and Bo Maynard; siblings, Earl Maynard, Jimmy (Charlotte) Maynard, Danny Maynard, Annie Rawls and Clara Gail (Jerrell) Rawls; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
