The household obtained associates on the Funeral Residence on Tuesday from 3pm-7pm and once more on Wednesday, 11am to the hour of service at 1pm.

Barbara Schmittou-Pittman, age 86, a resident of rural Union Metropolis in Jay County handed away on Sunday, December 18, 2022.

Barbara was born on September 8, 1936, in Knoxville, Tennessee, the daughter of Ernest J.R. and Lucy Lee (Moats) Gaston. She labored as a 911 operator in Springfield, Tennessee for a few years. She was a member of Springfield Baptist Church in Springfield, Tennessee. She married Euel Pittman on April 3, 1999 and he handed away on December 6, 2010.

Billy Jarman Horner was born in Millersville, Tennessee on March 27, 1931 to Iva Gourley and James Alvin Horner and handed peacefully on December 23, 2022 at The Waters Nursing Facility in Springfield, Tennessee after a three-day keep.

Billy was a lifelong farmer and a carpenter who constructed many homes within the native space. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Rita (Carl) Powers and Donna (Billy) Scharcklet, was a loving “Ma” to six grandchildren, Andrew (Kathy) Powers, Daniel Powers, Carrie Powers, Gary Lee (Jia) Scharcklet, Austin (LeeAnn) Mayberry, Addie Scharcklet and seven nice grandchildren with one on the way in which. She was a Christian with robust religion and was a proud member of Essential Road Church of Christ. She taught Wednesday evening youngsters’s Bible class for a few years in addition to a instructor on the Essential Road Mothers Time out program. She was a loyal spouse, mom and grandmother.
